Mūsų išvada

Mintos is the most thoroughly regulated and documented loan marketplace we cover. AS Mintos Marketplace is a MiFID investment firm supervised by Latvijas Banka since August 2021, holds client money separately, publishes accounts audited by KPMG Baltics and shows its bad years, including a −1.2% net return in 2022. None of that protects you from the lending companies themselves: several failed in 2020–2022, and in 2026 Nera Capital missed a principal repayment while Fintech Finance and Biznes Zaim were removed and are winding down. The realistic case for Mintos is as a diversified, supervised account that still carries real credit risk — in good years net returns have come close to the headline rate, in bad years they fell six to eleven points below it.

Kas veikia

  • Many lending companies across several countries, which makes genuine diversification possible inside one account
  • MiFID investment firm licence from Latvijas Banka (17 August 2021), with segregated client assets and EUR 20,000 compensation if Mintos itself fails
  • Publishes net returns and loss rates for every year since 2015, including the −1.2% of 2022
  • Working secondary market: EUR 468 million sold to date, and performing notes can usually be sold within days

Kas neveikia

  • The 60-day buyback comes from each lending company and fails when that company fails; the compensation scheme does not cover lender defaults
  • Lending-company failures are not history: Nera Capital has been in payment delay since April 2026, Fintech Finance and Biznes Zaim are winding down, and 2020 recoveries are still not complete
  • Fees and cash drag reduce returns: 0.39% a year on Core Loans, 0.29% on Custom Loans and 0.85% on every secondary market sale
  • Notes from suspended or defaulted lenders cannot be sold, and the group itself lost EUR 2.28 million in 2025 after EUR 2.74 million in 2024

Kam tai tinka

Investors who want one well-supervised account as the backbone of a P2P allocation, spread across many lending companies, and who accept both a lower yield and the fact that a licence does not stop lenders defaulting.
