Our verdict
Afranga is better regulated than most platforms paying double-digit rates: AFRANGA EOOD holds an ECSP licence from Bulgaria's Financial Supervision Commission (Decision 863-ДУКФ, 12 September 2023), passported to France, and client money sits in individual accounts at Lemonway rather than in the platform's own account. That is a difference in how money is handled, not in what it is lent to. By Afranga's own originator figures, about 95% of invested money sits with Stikcredit, Lendivo and Tiberus, companies built by the same team; Afranga's sole owner, Svetlin Sabev, sits on Stik-Credit's board, and Stik-Credit's audited 2024 accounts show BGN 10.1 million owed to it by related parties. There is no buyback and no compensation scheme, so six originators on the page behave like one exposure.
Read our full Afranga reviewRegulation, returns, fees, risks and our verdict — in depth. What works
- ECSP licence from Bulgaria's FSC (Decision 863-ДУКФ, 12 September 2023), confirmed on the AMF white list rather than merely claimed
- Client money held in individual accounts at Lemonway, an ACPR-licensed payment institution, outside Afranga's own accounts
- Anchor originator Stik-Credit publishes audited accounts with an unqualified opinion from Zaharinova Nexia, showing a 2024 net profit of BGN 6.8 million
- No marketplace fees, a €10 minimum per loan, early withdrawal of up to 30% on SaveSmart for 1%, and a secondary bulletin board since August 2026
What doesn't
- About 95% of the money on Afranga's originator page sits with Stikcredit, Lendivo and Tiberus, which share a founding team
- No buyback and no compensation scheme; the terms disclaim any warranty of borrower solvency
- Headline figures do not match: €100M+ invested on the homepage against €43.05 million on the statistics page, and 'up to 16%' against averages of 8.97–11.58%
- Short, interrupted history: relaunched in March 2025, no auto-invest, and the secondary market only weeks old
Who this is for
Investors who want a licensed platform at the high end of the rate range and will treat the whole position as one bet on one Bulgarian lending group, sized accordingly.
How the score breaks down
How this score is calculatedEach dimension is scored 0–10 from documented inputs, then multiplied by its weight and summed. Nothing is rounded until the end.
Figure taken from: go.afranga.com · Sep 19, 2026 · Afranga advertises 'up to 16%'. Its own originator table shows per-originator averages of 8.97-11.58%, and independent trackers report realised returns of 12.9-14.7%. We publish the advertised maximum because the platform's own pages do not agree on an average.
