Alternatives to Bondora Go & Grow: four good options, depending on what you want

Go & Grow earns its popularity: one balance, a flat €1 withdrawal and up to 6% a year. If you'd like something it doesn't offer, these four platforms each do one thing particularly well.

Go & Grow has been many people's first step into P2P lending, and it's easy to see why. You put money in, it is spread across Bondora's consumer loans automatically, and you watch one balance grow. More than 516,000 people use it, according to Go & Grow's own site. Since 1 April 2025 it pays up to 6% a year on everything you hold, and taking money out costs a flat €1.

So this isn't a "leave Go & Grow" article. People look for alternatives for reasons of their own: they want to spread money across more than one lender, prefer a platform supervised by a financial regulator, would like a fixed rate, or want loans that aren't consumer credit. Each platform below is a good answer to one of those wishes, and many investors simply keep Go & Grow as their easy-access part and add one of them.

Start with what you liked about Go & Grow

  • One simple balance: Monefit SmartSaver works almost the same way.
  • A supervised platform with more choice: Mintos.
  • Starting with tiny amounts: Twino, from €1.
  • Something other than consumer credit: Lande, farm loans secured on land and machinery.

Mintos: more choice inside a supervised account

Mintos is the platform we score highest of all 25 we cover. AS Mintos Marketplace holds a MiFID investment firm licence from Latvijas Banka, the Latvian central bank, and keeps client money separate from its own.

  • Spread across many lenders. Core Loans invests automatically across lending companies in several countries, so one company's trouble is a small part of your account.
  • A place for cash. Smart Cash puts money into a money market fund. Mintos says money taken out of Smart Cash is usually back in your Mintos account the same day. It costs 0.19% a year.
  • Ways out of loans. You can cash out Core Loans to other investors at no fee, or sell on the secondary market for 0.85% of the sale price.
  • Investor compensation. If Mintos itself failed to return your investments or cash, Latvia's scheme covers 90% of the loss, up to €20,000.

Good to know: the compensation does not cover loans that go wrong, and Mintos publishes its weaker years too, including a net return of −1.2% in 2022. The 10.28% shown is the current average interest rate; what investors keep after defaults and fees is lower.

Monefit SmartSaver: the closest thing to Go & Grow

If what you liked was the simplicity, SmartSaver will feel familiar: one balance, returns credited every day, nothing to configure.

  • A fixed rate. The main account pays 7.5% a year, compounded daily. A 24-month Vault pays 10.52% if you leave the money for the full term.
  • Quick access for smaller amounts. Up to €1,000 a month can be paid out instantly, often within minutes. Larger withdrawals are processed within 10 business days.
  • A profitable lender behind it. Your money funds loans from the Creditstar Group, which reported a €13.5 million net profit for 2025, audited by KPMG Baltics.

Good to know: like Go & Grow, SmartSaver lends to one group and has no licence or compensation scheme behind it. It suits money you can leave in place rather than an emergency fund.

Twino: licensed, and small amounts welcome

Twino has run since 2015 and has published audited accounts every year since. AS TWINO Investments has held a MiFID investment firm licence from Latvijas Banka since August 2021, with the same €20,000 compensation if the platform itself fails.

  • From €1. You can start as small as you did with Go & Grow.
  • No fees for the basics. Deposits, withdrawals, and buying or selling on the secondary market cost nothing.
  • A working secondary market. Twino says loans offered slightly below face value often sell within minutes to a few hours, and close to face value within one to three days. A buyer is never guaranteed.
  • It saw a hard case through. When its Russian loans were frozen, Twino paid investors all principal and interest by August 2026.

Good to know: today the loans on Twino come from one Polish lender in the same group, and Twino charges an inactivity fee if money sits unused for a long time. It advertises up to 12% a year.

Lande: farm loans with real collateral

Lande is the alternative for anyone who wants something entirely different from consumer credit. It lends to farm businesses, and most new loans are secured on farmland or machinery at an average loan-to-value of 41%.

  • Licensed. Lande has held a European crowdfunding (ECSP) licence from Latvijas Banka since February 2024.
  • No investor fees, including when you sell performing loans on the secondary market, which trades at face value.
  • Different drivers. Farm loans follow harvests and land values rather than consumer spending, which can balance a portfolio of consumer loans.
  • Open reporting. Monthly reports show late payments by type of collateral and by country.

Good to know: Lande suits money you can leave for two years or more. There is no buyback; if a loan goes wrong, your protection is the collateral, and recovering it through the courts takes time. The 11.2% shown is the average interest rate, not the return after losses.

Or keep Go & Grow and add one

You don't have to choose. A common approach is to keep the part you may want back soon where it pays out quickly, and put money you won't need for a few years somewhere that suits that time frame. Spreading across two or three platforms also means no single platform carries everything.

Before you move money

  1. Check how quickly you'll get it back. Go & Grow normally pays out near-instantly in one payment, for a flat €1.
  2. Compare like with like. We label every rate on this site as an average the platform publishes, an advertised maximum or a target. None of them is what you keep after defaults, fees and tax. Our net return calculator helps you estimate that. What each licensed platform charges for deposits, withdrawals and selling early is compared in our guide to P2P lending fees.
  3. Read the full picture. Each platform's page shows our score, what works and what doesn't. How we score is explained in our methodology.

P2P lending is not a savings account: there is no deposit guarantee, returns are not guaranteed and you can lose money. Our risk guide explains how.
